Oregon Summer Learning GrantsHouse Bill 4082 passed in 2024 provides $30 million dollars in grant funds to school districts, charter schools, and ESDs to support underserved students with summer learning. Suddenly, there is a great need to develop summer learning programs in order to support students and access these funds. Young Leaders Program can help.
We have a planYoung Leader Program has educational administrators and legislative support staff experienced in program development and planning. We will be able to help you create a customized summer learning plan by the deadline of April 12th. Nevertheless, time is short! We need to start immediately!

According to the Oregon Department of Education, participating districts should work with Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in the planning and implementation of their programs. This is one place Young Leaders can help! We are a 501(c)(3) Public Charity #82-2047306 and we are ready, willing and able to collaborate with you in your summer learning plans.

DeadlineThe deadline for summer learning applications from districts is April 12. Approved Districts, ESDs and Charter schools must submit their plans by that date. Program HoursYoung Leaders Program is a residential program with students actively engaged in learning a total of 85 hours (7 days and 6 nights long) throughout the week. Qualifying programs must have at least 80 hours according to ODE, so YL does qualify! Demographic InformationYoung Leaders is adept in supporting:
Aligned CurriculumYoung Leaders Program is a week-long residential learning program where students don't just learn about subjects, they get to engage in those subjects in hands-on, authentic, interactive, experiential ways. Subjects integrated into the curriculum include:

How to attend
We will help you draft a plan that includes Young Leaders Program as a key component of your Summer Learning Program.
Programming CostsProgram cost per student is $1499. This includes everything indicated above. There are no other costs, fees, etc. unless you need us to assist with transportation.
Once we are set-up with your program, you will receive an access code to give to students that they can use to register. We will then reach out to their parents with Remind texts and emails to ensure they are ready for the program! It is that easy to engage your students! |
